Where does the money go?
The Nam Et-Phou Louey National Park tours are non-profit ventures with the majority of the income from the tours directly benefiting the local communities. All earnings are reinvested back into the ecotourism and other conservation projects.
Rates & Special Offers
All rates are in LAK & Per Person.
Rates 2024-2025 from 1st October 2024:
- Ages 1-5: Free of charge if using the existing bedding as for parents
- Ages 6-10: 50% discount /person
- Ages 11 and above: Full price
The way of payment: To confirm your booking you will receive a link to pay a deposit of 500’000LAK/per person. The remaining amount must be paid in Lao Kip only when you arrive at NEPL directly to the National Park guide or Office. Please do not pay using other currencies as we do not have a convenient place to exchange money.
Important Note: There is NO ATM machine in the village so please prepare the necessary amount in advance. Payment must be done before the tour start. We can’t accept late payments as most of the money is paid directly to the villagers immediately after the tour.

- National Park’s Tour Guide (Lao, English, Khmu, Hmong speaking)
- Village team services: wildlife spotter, boatmen, porters, cooks, cleaning, handicraft group (depending on tour type)
- Transportation from Muang Hiam to the village where the tour start and back to Muang Hiam
- Food and water
- Sleeping equipment
- Leech Socks

No extra fees for seeing tigers or any other wildlife. This is included in your fee.

Please make your booking in advance, and reconfirm your participation 24h before the tour start. Or visit the National Park’s headquarters in Muang Hiam (Monday-Friday 9-5pm, lunch break 12-1.30pm).
